Newsletter Cost Cuts
March 2010
Financial times remain tight, but God blessed us with a wonderful 2009. We ended the
year just a little short of our expenses. We praise the Lord for the great support we get
from so many which allows us to continue this ministry. Due to the slow economy we
have decided to cut back on sending our newsletter to twice a year. This will save a few
thousand dollars and allow us to still keep in touch and let you know what God is doing in
our lives and work. If you would like to receive this through email, that would save us the
expense of sending a paper copy. You can also access our website; the newsletter and
an updated schedule will be there. We will publish our newsletter in the spring and
toward the end of the year. If you do not wish to receive a newsletter, please let us know.
Thanks for following our ministry these past 33 years and please continue to do so. God
bless you.

Honduras
March 2010
Thanks to all of you who gave toward the water project for Los Choritos, Honduras. We
raised $6000.00 to send down and the project was completed by the end of the year. The
people are so excited to have water piped to their village. We return in May and plan to
build a pilar or place for the women to wash clothes. It is basically a concrete rectangle
with scrub boards built into it. Eventually, we want to build a community toilet for the
village. Our surgeon will not be able to go on this trip, but our two nurses are returning to
help Dr. Landa, a physician in Victoria whom our Dr. King trained to do minor surgery. He
has 150 people lined up to work with when we go in. Some of the women plan to help
the women and girls of Los Choritos learn to crochet, sew and teach them hygiene and
care of the babies and their families. Of course, there is always something for the
children--usually Bible school. Our team is composed of four men and six women.

Haiti

The ministry of Riddle Evangelistic Association has had an ongoing work in Haiti since
we started our first orphanage in 1987. We began to help build another orphanage a few
years ago. We have not received a full report on how many of the children were injured or
killed, but we do know that as many as twenty-five of our children were killed. I will be
returning to Haiti later this year and I am gathering finances to take in with me to directly
help with the needs that I encounter. If you would like to help, you can send your
contributions to Riddle Evangelistic Association and label it for Haiti. Gilda and I assure
you that all monies received will be used only for the needs of the ministries and
orphanages that we support in Haiti. If you would like to go with me to Haiti, just let me
know and I will put your name on the list and I will get in contact with you. Please pray for
us, as well as those we love and care for in this devastated country of Haiti.
